Welcome to the second installment of “In the Dance with Dj Seen”. I had something ready to go for this week but as I was sorting tunes ready for the weekend I came across the new EP by Delta Heavy called Ghost and I had to review it right away. This EP features two Bass remixes of Ghost by Zomboy and Infuze, both pretty fresh if you are into that kind of vibe, and another drum and bass gem called “Tremors”.

The title track Ghost slowly opens with a beautiful vocal until a simple but effective build takes us to a boiling point when the tune drops and punchy drums, thick warm sub and well placed synth stabs carry this tune and show us Delta Heavy’s skill behind the desk and their ability to write something heavy and musically sound at the same time. As soon as you hear this tune you know its going to be huge at all summer festivals for the rest of the season.

“Tremors” is what I would consider a AA side, this one is a bit different that Ghost but still delivers the goods, heavy on the lfo’ed bass and a lot darker sounding; this one is definitely a tune I will have in rotation for quite some time.

Since its Friday to get you ready for the weekend vibes I wanted to leave you guys with an exclusive mix from Drumsound & Bassline Smith for DJ Target’s show on BBC Radio 1. Enjoy!

I’ll be back next week with a new banger to review, until then … See you in the dance!
