This Component Package contains the drivers for the HP NC-Series Broadcom 1Gb Multifunction Server Adapters for Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions. On a ProLiant server running Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008, if a version of the HP NC-Series Broadcom 1GbE Multifunction Driver for Windows Server earlier than version 4.6.16.0 is installed and an attempt to upgrade the driver to a version later than version 4.6.16.0 is made, the following message is displayed and is written to the cpqsetup.log:

HP Virtual Bus Device installation requires a newer version. Version 4.6.16.0 is required.

Reboot Requirement:

The multifunction driver set has been updated as a KMDF (Kernel Mode Driver Family) for future compatibility with Windows 2008. KMDF drivers require additional co-installer files WUDFUpdate_01005.dll and WdfCoInstaller01005.dll to be present. These files are included in the distribution and landed in Windows System32 folder during the Smart Start Installer execution.

The RIS drivers for WinPE have been updated.

Virtual Wireless Bus Driver (vwifibus) Service Defaults in Windows 10

Make sure that the vwifibus.sys file exists in the%WinDir%System32drivers folder. If this file is missing you can try to restore it from your Windows 10 installation media. If this file is missing you can try to restore it from your Windows 10 installation media.
You can add a virtual bus to your wave configuration, which is a grouping, or “folder”, to which logic scalars and arrays can be added. The virtual bus displays a bus waveform, which is comprised of the signal waveforms in the vertical order that they appear under the virtual bus, flattened to a one-dimensional array.

Implements bus functionality for Virtual Wireless.

Default Behavior

Virtual Wireless Bus Driver is a kernel device driver. In Windows 10 it is starting only if the user, an application or another service starts it. If Virtual Wireless Bus Driver fails to start, the failure details are being recorded into Event Log. Then Windows 10 will start up and notify the user that the vwifibus service has failed to start due to the error.

Restore Default Startup Configuration for Virtual Wireless Bus Driver

1. Run the Command Prompt as an administrator.

2. Copy the command below, paste it into the command window and press ENTER:

sc config vwifibus start= demand

The vwifibus service is using the vwifibus.sys file that is located in the %WinDir%System32drivers folder. If the file is changed, damaged or deleted, you can restore its original version from Windows 10 installation media.
